OLUSEGUN ADETOKUNBO ABIODUN

Principal Architect

Segun Abiodun is a practicing West African based Architect and founder of the Architectural firm PIEACH ltd. She is a member of the Royal Institute of British Architects and the Nigerian Institute of Architects. She obtained her master’s degree in Architecture from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife. In 1997, she founded PIEACH ltd, an architecture and research firm. A firm which has over the years executed a wide variety of residential, commercial, religious, institutional and mixed projects. In 2011, she entered Public Service as Special Adviser and later Commissioner for Housing in Ogun State Nigeria. During this time, she was instrumental in bringing about developmental change in the state and instituting various urban planning initiatives aimed at controlled growth of cities and the establishment of new towns and cities. Her work is guided by the belief that architects have an important role to play in thinking spaces, with the power to elevate, dignify, and provide a better quality of life. Through her practice, Segun aims to discover innovative ways of doing so, while maintaining an intimate dialog between architecture, people, and the environment.
